First commercial consignment of GI mangoes from Bihar exported to UK

Yesterday, in a major boost to the export potential of the eastern region, the first commercial consignment of Geographical Indications certified “Jardalu” mangoes from Bhagalpur, Bihar, was exported to the UK. The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority ( APEDA) in collaboration with the Bihar government, Indian High Commission and Invest India, exported the mangoes, packed and treated at APEDA packhouse in Lucknow.
