Food in Canada is thrilled to win three 2024 Tabbies Awards from Trade, Association, Business Publications International (TABPI).
A globally recognized program, the Tabbies Awards have been honouring excellence in B2B publication for more two decades.
The magazine’s popular Focus on Food Safety column earned the columnist Dr. Amy Proulx and the magazine’s editor, Nithya Caleb, a Bronze Award in the Department category. A professor and academic program co-ordinator at Niagara College, Ont., Dr. Proulx brings her expertise in culinary innovation and food technology to the column, providing valuable insights to readers.
The Tabbies Awards jury recognized the value of this column to Food in Canada’s readers. It said, “With food safety literally being a life and death matter to this industry, this department is a critical one. And Food in Canada comes through, with practical advice, testing information, and solutions for their readers.”
Nithya Caleb also received an honourable mention for her article on fermed proteins. Alison Keba, the magazine’s designer, was recognized with an honourable mention for her design of the April/May 2023 magazine cover in the Front Cover, Photograph, category. Keba’s creative vision and attention to detail have helped to elevate Food in Canada’s visual appeal.
