Freshco Opening New 40,000 sq. ft. Grocery Store Opening in Edmonton

A brand-new grocery store is set to open in Edmonton, with FreshCo coming to the city’s southwest.

FreshCo is opening in Edmonton’s Glenridding neighbourhood. It will hold its grand opening on Thursday, May 29. The store will open to the public at 8 a.m.

“FreshCo Glenridding brings together the best of fresh food and global flavours in a format tailored to the surrounding community,” the company said.

The new store will be around 40,000 square feet and is estimated to cost $7.7 million.

The Glenridding FreshCo will be the eighth in the city.

FreshCo Ltd. is a Canadian chain of discount supermarkets owned by Sobeys.[2] It was launched in March 2010.[3] As of September 2024, there were over 125 FreshCo stores.
