Fynoderee commences exporting to the European market

Award-winning spirits producer The Fynoderee Distillery is launching European exports.

A range of premium spirits from the Isle-of-Man-based company will now be available for home delivery to France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands and Austria, as well as for trade supply to Norway. More destinations are expected to be announced soon.

This marks a huge expansion for the distillery and is a boost to the Isle of Man Government’s ambition to grow food and drink exports by 10% year on year.

The award-winning Manx distillery produces a range of premium gins, vodka, rum and Manx Single Malt Whiskey using locally foraged and farmed ingredients from the Isle of Man – which holds the unique status of being the world’s only entire-nation UNESCO Biosphere.

This status is an international mark of excellence recognising the Island’s unique natural environment, with Fynoderee drawing inspiration from the Island’s enchanting Celtic folklore, culture and heritage.

Tiffany Kerruish, co-founder of Fynoderee, said the team is very excited to announce this major expansion today, representing an important new market that it can now serve.

“This is a big step forward in plans to export our premium Manx-made spirits around the world, and we can’t wait to start showing our European customers why Manx products are so special,” Kerruish added.

Tim Cowsill, chief executive of business Isle of Man, an executive agency within the Isle of Man Government’s Department for Enterprise described it as “brilliant” for Fynoderee and the Isle of Man.

“We are pleased that the Fynoderee team will now be able to share their award-winning Manx products with a wider audience,” Cowsill added.

“We wish Fynoderee all the best in this endeavour, as they join other food and drink producers from the Isle of Man that have a well-established base of loyal consumers in Europe and further afield. Manx made cheese and our protected designation of origin (PDO) status queen scallops have been enjoyed by consumers in France, Italy and Spain for a number of years.”

It is the first time Fynoderee products will be available for home delivery outside of the Isle of Man and UK, with the significant expansion made possible through a partnership with leading Danish drinks fulfilment house, Bemakers.

This is a major boost to the Isle of Man Government’s food and drink sector, part of the Government’s ambitious economic plan to double its GDP and diversify its economy to create and fill 5,000 new jobs on the Island by 2032.

The news about expansion to Europe comes after Fynoderee exhibited at the International Food and Drink Expo in London earlier this year supported by the Isle of Man Government’s Department for Enterprise, with more than £600,000 in orders generated across the four Manx companies attending. The Department has recently confirmed that it will support Manx food and drink exporters again at the event in 2025.
