Giant Tiger Stores Limited has unveiled a new pink shirt in its second year, in partnership with Kids Help Phone, to celebrate Anti-Bullying Day.

Proceeds from selling the shirt — available at select Giant Tiger shops and online — will fund Kids Help Phone’s e-mental health services. Each shirt includes a detachable Kids Help Phone contact card.

“At Giant Tiger, giving back is central to who we are, and contributes to the pride felt by our locally owned stores, members of Team Tiger, and our valued customers. Together, we are making a tangible and lasting impact to better support young people across the country,” said Gabrielle Hargrove, senior vice president and chief HR officer at Giant Tiger Stores Limited.

Kids Help Phone is Canada’s only 24/7 e-mental health service offering young people free, confidential support in English and French. Jenny Yuen, senior vice president of national partnerships and government relations at Kids Help Phone, said the partnership will help improve services.

“Kids Help Phone is grateful for Giant Tiger’s continued commitment to raising awareness about the challenges young people face. Thank you for reminding young people that they are not alone,” she said.

Giant Tiger has contributed over $325,000 to Kids Help Phone’s operations since 2004. The first anti-bullying shirt campaign raised funds for peer-to-peer initiatives, professional counselling, crisis text lines, live chat therapy, and crisis response messaging across Canada.
