Glowbal restaurant group fundraises for B.C. wildfires

The downtown Glowbal restaurants will donate up to 10 per cent of sales to help with B.C. wildfire relief.

From Friday, Aug. 20, to Sunday, Aug. 22, the Glowbal Restaurant Group’s downtown restaurant locations (Glowbal Restaurant, Coast, Italian Kitchen, Black and Blue, and Five Sails) will be donating five per cent of all food sales to a maximum of $10,000 to the Red Cross B.C. Wildfire Appeal Fund. With matching government funds, it’ll amount to a total of $20,000.

“We challenge all restaurant group leaders in B.C. to match our donation plan,” says CEO Emad Yacoub.

The donations will be used for relief efforts including long-term recovery, resiliency and preparedness for future impacts of the fires in the province. Anyone can donate to the fund by: going online at redcross.ca, calling 1-800-418-1111 or texting FIRES to 45678.
