Grape exports South Korea set fresh high in 2020

South Korean grape exports have shot up 35 percent year-on-year in 2020, coming to a new and record high, data showed. These sales come on the back of the growing popularity of local agricultural products overseas.

According to the data compiled by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, export shipments of grapes came to $30.7 million in 2020, compared to $22.8 million one year earlier.  Over the first four months of 2021, exports of grapes came to $7.2 million, also up nearly 50 percent from the previous year.
