On March 17, retailer partners and sponsors from the Make Happy Tummies (formerly Toonies for Tummies) campaign community attended and help prepare breakfast for over 300 students at Don Bosco School in Calgary. Events also took place in Vancouver, Toronto, and Nova Scotia.

It was a joyous morning filled with nutrition, including many products from Make Happy Tummies’ sponsor companies with groceries provided by partner grocery stores near the school.

The campaign, which is now in store at Sobeys, Safeway, IGA West, Chalo! FreshCo, Foodland, Thrifty Foods, Farm Boy, Foodland & participating CO-Ops through to April 3rd and recently concluded at Calgary Co-op and Natural Community Natural Food stores invites shoppers to donate with 100% of proceeds benefitting a local breakfast programs.

As shared by Pam the breakfast volunteer and Christian, the school principal, our work is increasingly vital supporting children’s physical and emotional well-being. The smiles were abundant as was the school spirit nurtured by a healthy meal shared among friends.

The goal for this year’s campaign is to raise $4M and make healthy and happy tummies at the over 3,000 programs currently supported by the campaign coast to coast.
