Science Group CTO Forum members are pleased to announce their roundtable discussion at the United Nations General Assembly Science Summit 2024 titled “Moving Beyond Promises to Performance: Industry CTOs Share Insights on How Science and Innovation Are Enabling a Sustainable Future.” This event will bring together leaders from some of the world’s largest corporations to discuss their groundbreaking efforts in driving sustainability through innovation, science, and technology.
Moderated by Rita Lawlor, co-chair Science Summit, this roundtable will feature members of Science Group CTO Forum. Founded by Dan Edwards, Science Group CEO, the CTO Forum is a coalition of eight major corporations dedicated to discussing issues of material interest to R&D leadership and its goal is to share insights and develop actionable tools and methods that can be put to practice within the R&D function and so help companies tackle key challenges ahead.
This year, the CTO Forum published the Growth and Sustainability Playbook which is designed for those leading R&D, innovation and other business functions that share the goal of realising progress on sustainability whilst not compromising business growth. This will be the topic of the roundtable discussion.
Each panellist will have examples to share of actions their company has taken to tackle the climate crisis. Natasha Santos, vice president head of sustainability & strategic engagement, Bayer Crop Science, will focus on how they have been catalysing momentum for sustainable agriculture, whilst Nici Bush, chief innovation, science and technology officer, Mars, will share how they have been rethinking packaging, and René Lammers, executive vice president & chief science officer, PepsiCo, will discuss how they are getting ahead on water.
The panel discussion is in New York, USA, and can be joined virtually by using the below registration link.
