Italian Centre Shop, a specialty grocery store chain with five stores in Alberta, is gearing up to open its second location in Calgary, according to Dished.
The new store, set to grace Northland Village Mall, will bring a unique grocery experience to the northwest area of the city, which is currently undergoing development. The grand opening is scheduled for 2026.
The space, spanning over 22,000 square feet, will feature an array of Italian pantry staples. The second location will also house a substantial deli featuring an assortment of meats, cheeses and antipasti. The artisan bakery, a hallmark of the Italian Centre Shop, will churn out fresh bread and sweets daily.
Furthermore, the new store will feature a cafe where patrons can indulge in made-to-order pizza, sandwiches and authentic Italian coffee. For those seeking a meal, the “tavola calda” will offer hot, ready-to-eat options.
