Lassonde invests $200M in new U.S. plant

Lassonde Industries is investing around $200M over two years to construct a new beverage manufacturing facility in New Jersey.

Once built, the 200,000-sf plant will replace an existing beverage site which is adjacent to the new place.

Construction is expected to begin early 2025, and existing production activities will be gradually transferred beginning in 2026. The transition is expected to be completed in 2027.

Vince Timpano, CEO of Lassonde Industries, said, “Since entering the U.S. market, we have methodically expanded our footprint, and our initiatives will support further expansion of both our private label and branded beverage activities while improving our profitability. Over the long term, this investment program will offer the potential to add further production capacity and new capabilities to meet market opportunities.”

This investment follows a recent expansion of its single-serve capabilities in North Carolina at a cost of $53 million.

The additional investment involves bringing some owned production assets currently deployed at a co-packer facility in-house.
