Lidl GB is recalling its Red Hen 4 Tempura Chicken Steaks after it found the product’s label does not clearly emphasise milk, posing a potential health risk for allergy sufferers.

The recall, announced on 1 August, affects all 380g packs of the product with best before dates of 11 and 16 December 2026, 22 and 30 December 2026, and 16 January 2027.

The supermarket has confirmed that no other Red Hen products in Lidl GB stores are affected by the recall. They have also placed point-of-sale notices to inform shoppers about the risks and what to do next.

Customers with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents should not consume the affected product. They should return it to the store where they bought it for a full refund.

Customers wanting more information should contact Lidl Customer Care at [email protected] or call 0203 966 5566.
