Loblaw Companies’ 34th President’s Choice Children’s Charity Bowlerama raised more than $1 million for communities in need.

The event was started by a Loblaw employee and collected funds from that first event made it possible to install a hospital bed in a local home so a six-year-old could spend Christmas with her family. Funds from the 34th charity bowling event will go towards supporting communities Loblaw serves.

“I’m tremendously grateful for the support from our suppliers and vendors. Even if they didn’t go easy on me at the bowling alley today, says Per Bank, president and CEO of Loblaw Companies,” adding that fund raised “will go a long way to creating a genuinely positive impact in the communities we serve.”
