Nasta Pet Food acquires FirstMate Pet Foods

Nasta Pet Food, a French-based, international group who produces in ultra-premium pet nutrition acquires FirstMate Pet Foods, a premium pet food manufacturer based in Vancouver, B.C.

Financial details of the transaction were not publicly disclosed. Nasta says this move is part of a planned expansion into North America.

As of February 2026, the combined entity will reportedly represent more than 250 employees and consolidated industrial capacities of 54,000 tons of dry pet food and 4,000 tons of wet pet food per year.

The group expects to serve more than 400,000 pet families annually and expects to generate approximately $200 million EUR in consolidated revenue in 2026.

Nasta Pet Food’s brands include Forza10, Natural Code and Bab’in.

Founded in 1989 by Mike Florian, FirstMate will continue to operate independently.
