VANCOUVER, B.C., December 15, 2021 – Two of Canada’s fastest growing food brokers in the
conventional and natural products markets have strategically aligned. Concord National and Indigo Natural
Products have restructured their executive team under the newly formed Concord National LLP.
Tony Luongo assumes the role of President. Luongo has been a leader in the food industry since 1982,
with previous tenures with Scott Paper and Canada Bread. As President, Luongo leads and supports the
executive leadership teams for both the conventional and natural products Brokerage Divisions.
Joining Luongo on the Executive Team is Lindsay Weatherdon, who assumes the role of Executive Vice
President. Using his 35 years of packaged goods experience, Weatherdon will work directly with the Senior
leadership group to deliver value to clients and customers across Canada.
“The formation of this new corporate structure has been years in the making and is one that we are thrilled
to finally announce publicly,” shares Luongo. He continues, “In essence, we have carefully taken six
separate corporate entities and management hierarchies and have strategically reorganized them to be
more efficient and effective to reach the goals for the brands we work with.”
Familiar grocery and food brands under Concord National LLP include Mazola, Nature’s Path, David’s Tea
and Sun-Maid within the Concord National Division; and within the Indigo portfolio Bob’s Red Mill, Amy’s
Kitchen, Sol Cuisine and Salt Spring Coffee. In total, the newly formed merged group represents over 600
million wholesale dollars sales.
THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
Krista Cunningham will continue to head the rapidly growing natural products sector as General Manager of
the Indigo Natural Products Division. Within the Concord National Brokerage Division, Stuart Bosch
assumes the role of VP Client Management while Ernie DeCarlo continues his role as VP National
Accounts. Sebastian Descoteaux takes on the responsibilities as VP Regional Accounts and Bret
VanDeWalle, VP Retail Operations.
In addition to the executive role promotions realized through the corporate restructure, Concord National
and Indigo Natural Products underwent a comprehensive branding upgrade including updated brand
voice, logos, updated websites and a full suite of marketing materials.
“It’s an incredibly exciting time for our group. We have the senior leadership team and structure in place to
successfully lead traditional and natural product brands into the rapidly changing grocery industry,” said
Luongo.
