Pandemic cancels in-person Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show

Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show’s in-person trade show has been cancelled for 2021, although the company continues to roll out digital opportunities for farmers to get together and learn.

The Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show team has met regularly with public health officials and the provincial government and it determined that the popular farm show could not viably proceed as an in-person show this year.

“As always, the safety of guests, exhibitors, sponsors, volunteers and staff, suppliers, and local communities is of the utmost importance. While it is encouraging to see the province entering into Stage 2 of its re-opening strategy, the timing makes it impossible to plan and execute the event,” the show said in a statement.

The show has organized digital event days throughout 2021. The next event is July 13 and will feature information on new and future developments in farm equipment, corn and soybean crop research from the field, and a look at alternate ways of controlling weeds.

Digital event details can be found at outdoorfarmshow.com

Discovery Farm Woodstock, home of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, will be fully operational and the facility is available to rent.

Smaller in-person events on the Woodstock show site will be considered as public health orders allow.

The show says it looks forward to welcoming farmers, employees, exhibitors, sponsors, and suppliers back in 2022.
