Job Description Job type: Full-time, Permanent (Mon-Friday every other Saturday + on call)

PGS Equipment Ltd. is looking to hire a Parts technician for our facility in Taber, AB, as well as farms in Alberta and Saskatchewan. We supply row crop farmers with the equipment and systems to plant, feed, protect, harvest, store, and process crops like potatoes, carrots, onions, beans, garlic, and other specialty crops. Key Responsibilities:

– Advising customers on additional parts that may be beneficial to a repair or service.
– Need to be able to communicate with customers and suppliers via phone and email.
– Restocking and preparing stocking orders
– Delivering an exceptional customer service experience
– Receiving and stocking duties like organizing parts inventory
– Answering phone inquiries related to the parts department
– Shipment of parts via parcel or pallet freight
– Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of our service trucks
– Safely perform work by themselves and with others, helping out with other jobs when needed.

Requirements:

– Must be a dependable and self-motivated, positive, and problem-solving team player who can communicate effectively, negotiate, and resolve conflict.
– Parts and machinery knowledge, preferably row crop
– 2+ years experience in agriculture dealership in technical or parts department Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems is an asset
– Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
– Work both as a member of a team and individually with minimal supervision
– Always maintain proper and safe working conditions
– Effectively work in a fast-paced environment, able to work well under pressure and shifting priorities
– Ability to plan and organize is a must with open communication with management
– Strong computer and technology skills is a must
– Valid driver’s license and clean driver abstract as well as forklift certificate
