Plátano de Canarias has just launched a new nutritional label on the market. The inner side of the popular label with the Plátano de Canarias logo now features detailed information on the fruit’s main nutritional properties (per 100 gram).

With this initiative, Plátano de Canarias becomes the first fruit to incorporate a label with nutritional information, and also in a 100% compostable and biodegradable format.

Health has become a very important factor for consumers when purchasing food, so Plátano de Canarias wanted to make the assessment easier. The label includes information on both the nutritional content per 100 grams and the percentage of the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) for each component. Plátano de Canarias stands out for its high vitamin B6 content, as well as for being a source of potassium, vitamin C and fiber.

This information is presented in a label in line with the brand’s commitment to sustainability and care for the environment, as it is made from wood pulp from controlled plantations and it is 100% compostable and biodegradable.
