DeLaval has moved the production of its teat spray robot TSR2 from Tumba, Sweden, to Kansas City, Missouri. By shifting TSR2 production to the U.S., DeLaval said in a release it can better support North American dealers and customers with faster lead times and improved service.
Three members were appointed to the Dairy Farmers of Ontario board of directors by acclamation at the organization’s regular board…
DeLaval said it has invested in the Kansas City facility to ensure the successful production of TSR2, including dedicated training for the TSR2 assembly team and installation of advanced testing equipment to maintain the highest product quality.
Fernando Cuccioli, DeLaval’s executive vice president of Cluster Americas said producing the TSR2 in Kansas City “allows us to respond swiftly to customer needs, especially as more farmers look to automation for labour and operational efficiencies.”
DeLaval invested in its presence in Kansas City more than 40 years ago, with offices, warehousing and a light manufacturing facility. Today, the Kansas City campus also features a training center and research and development lab.
The teat spray robot TSR2, which was named Overall Agriculture Robotics Solution of the Year by the 2024 AgTech Breakthrough Awards, automates the pre- and post-teat spray application in rotary milking operations. DeLaval said the TSR2 locates and sprays cows with up to 99 per cent accuracy using the company’s InSight technology on a robotic arm.
