It wasn’t all that long ago that rosés were an obscure part of the wine business, a summer drink drunk mostly in southern Europe but much has changed over the past decade in Canada.
Rosé has become so fashionable it might be easier to list the wineries that don’t sell one versus the many thousands who do.
Dry or sweet, pale or dark red, the style doesn’t seem to matter. I’ve tasted close to 100 different rosés this spring and wanted to share some of my favourite local and international selections that are widely available just in time for you to enjoy over the Canada Day long weekend.
