Pizza joints are the OG takeout food and so Pizzeria Farina sat out the pandemic as takeout only. The fact that their pizzas are good certainly helped keep them going.
Now that their 10th anniversary is around the corner on Aug. 18, they have plans to reopen the dining room at 915, Main St. in Vancouver, and will have an anniversary feature pizza as a fundraiser for The Canadian Red Cross Wildfire Relief Foundation with matching funds from the provincial government. They’ll donate $10 from each feature pizza, topped with heirloom tomatoes from Solstedt Organics in Lytton and burrata and with the province’s help, that’ll add up to a $20 donation per pizza.
The fundraiser runs from Aug. 18 to 20 and remind others that donations to the Red Cross Wildfire Relief, business or personal, will be matched by the province.
The restaurant, part of Kitchen Table Group, plans to do a bit of a room refresh for the reopening.
