Southeastern Grocers Inc. has completed its divestiture of Fresco y Más to Fresco Retail Group, LLC, the company announced.Southeastern continues ownership and operation of Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie grocery stores. The divestiture is part of the acquisition deal announced in August that would entail discount grocer Aldi acquiring Southeastern Grocers’ some 400 Winn-Dixie and Harvey Supermarket stores.

In other news, the list of store closings for Rite Aid continues to be a working document as the company tries to navigate through its bankruptcy filing. The Camp Hill, Pa.-based retailer added another 55 locations in January, reports news outlet MassLive. A bulk of the closings will happen in California (16), New York (eight), and Ohio (nine). Rite Aids will also shutter in Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington.
