CLIMATE

Our commitment is to reduce greenhouse gas (GhG) emissions across our full value chain by 30% by 2030 and achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

  • Since 2020, we have reduced GhG emissions from owned operations by 49 percent.
  • To advance decarbonization strategies we have built new ways of working and new teams.

REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE

Our goal is to advance regenerative agriculture on 1 million acres of farmland by 2030.

  • With 500,000 acres engaged, we are halfway to reaching our goal.
  • These efforts help improve soil health, watersheds, biodiversity, climate change, and farmer economic resilience.

PACKAGING

Our ambition is that all General Mills brands will design 100% of packaging to be recyclable or reusable by 2030.

  • Ninety-two percent of packaging for our North America Retail and North America Foodservice operating segments was recyclable or reusable (by weight) as of fiscal 2022.
  • We consistently seek opportunities to improve the recyclability and reusability of our packaging and reduce or eliminate materials.
