Clasado Biosciences has announced that Vitafoods Europe 2024 will see the debut of Saya Suka, a synbiotic water range launched by Zurich-based beverage business, Kefinova.
The functional beverage features Clasado’s multi award-winning Bimuno GOS as the prebiotic element, while the probiotic, Weizmannia Coagulans GX-1, is supplied by probiotic specialist Probi AB. Featuring two powerhouse ingredients in a synbiotic way, Saya Suka is backed with a wealth of science to support gut health in a convenient to consume way.
Visitors to Vitafoods Europe 2024, taking place 14-16 May in Geneva, Switzerland, are invited to see and taste the Saya Suka product range first-hand at the Probi AB stand, L222.
The launch shows the versatility of synbiotics, most often the combination of prebiotics and probiotics, in one product. The category is one the fastest-growing types of ‘biotic’ in the consumer health arena, expected to see a robust compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.20% to 2029.
Dr Frederic Narbel, VP of B2B sales at Clasado, said: “Vitafoods Europe is an exciting hotbed of nutritional innovation and 2024 will be no different. The Saya Suka synbiotic water range is a prime example of today’s truly innovative products in the beverage category and it shows what’s possible when consumer demand for gut health solutions is met with strong scientific backing, creativity and great taste. Better still, it’s not just thirst-quenching, it’s also satisfying the consumer appetite for gut health-supporting products.
“We’re proud to say that the product features our own Bimuno GOS, the most widely studied commercially available GOS. Formulating with a prebiotic rich in science like ours makes it easier for brands to stand out in the market and gives consumers confidence that the product can back up its claims with real evidence. Market innovation is driven by brands like Saya Suka, who put science first, and take time to ensure the products they create are formulated with quality and efficacy as key considerations. Our team will be at Vitafoods Europe 2024, so it’s a perfect opportunity for businesses to speak with us and learn more about this fantastic product and Bimuno’s role within it.”
The Saya Suka range will launch with three flavours: Lemon Zest & Rosehip, Raspberry & Cardamom, and Bergamot & Swiss Pine. In addition to quenching thirst, the synbiotic nature of the drink means it’s also supporting a well-balanced gut microbiome. In addition to the probiotic element in Saya Suka, Bimuno GOS is shown to nourish Bifidobacteria, a ‘good’ bacteria associated with gastrointestinal, immune and cognitive health.
Florian Kadler, CEO at Kefinova, added: “We are living in an incredible era of innovation in the biotics category. Our partnership with Clasado should attract a lot of attention at Vitafoods Europe 2024, and we look forward to showcasing the Saya Suka range as a shining example of how expertise and collaboration are key to making everyday health and wellness simple.”
