Walmart Canada’s Gonzalo Gebara: Allow customers to own the shopping experience

Gonzalo Gebara, president and CEO of Walmart Canada at the Retail Council of Canada’s In Conversation series.

Whether it’s purchasing products in-store or online, Walmart Canada’s focus is ensuring  its customers are given the opportunity to own the shopping experience.

That’s one of the insights that came out of a Retail Council of Canada “In Conversation” breakfast with Walmart Canada president and CEO Gonzalo Gebara who sat down with RCC’s president and CEO Diane J. Brisbois to answer questions.

In discussing the chain’s key pillars, Gebara said Walmart’s focus is always on offering customers the best pricing and the best shopping experience.

“We’re a tech-enabled people business and our focus is on giving our customers choices,” says Gebara. “We’re in the ‘and’ not ‘or’ game, which means that we want to make sure that we’re there for our customers wherever they need us.”
