Cambodia exports more than 150,000 tons of mangoes in first five months

Cambodia has exported a total of 156,724 tons of fresh mangoes to international markets in the first five months of this year, according to  a report of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. The figure showed a noticeable increase of 255 percent compared to the same period last year, it underlined.

Among the main export markets for Cambodian mangoes are Vietnam, Thailand, China, Korea, Singapore and Kuwait. Last month, Cambodia officially began the direct shipment of fresh mangoes to China. Mango is the second fresh fruit, after the banana, which Cambodia exports directly to China. This is another fruitful achievement resulting from the good cooperation between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the People’s Republic of China.
