After a logical and lengthy negotiation process, the directors of Cipla and Nulexport have signed a merger agreement. The viability of the agreement was endorsed by external auditors and, once it is ratified by the respective general assemblies, it will give rise to a new entity called Cítrics de Nules, Coop. V.
This new company, which balances the two merging entities, will allow them to take advantage of their complementary strengths. Nules’ citrus farming once again has a cooperative benchmark with a specific weight, and a sectorial relevance that it previously held.
The partners have already received or will soon receive all the documentation and real information on all the relevant aspects of this merger, as well as the call to the general assembly, where they will have the opportunity to decide on the creation of the new organization.
Citrics de Nules will bring together the best of Cipla and Nulexport, and will be a substantial improvement for both companies in all the most important aspects of their business activity. It will bring together more than 700 producers, with a production area of nearly 10,000 hectares, and estimated production of around 30 million kilos.
