Loblaws & Grey Jay expand Ontario Made program

Grey Jay Sales & Distribution, in partnership with Loblaws, has increased its efforts to bring local Ontario brands to consumers across the province.

Effective this week, the distribution company’s Ontario Made program will rollout to over 150 grocery Loblaws banner stores including Zehrs, Your Independent Grocer and Valu-mart, placing emphasis on shopping Ontario-based suppliers.

With its roster of homegrown brands and 25 years of experience, Grey Jay Sales is connecting consumers with the people and faces behind family-owned brands including Jakeman’s Maple Products from Beachville, Muskoka Brand Gourmet from Muskoka, and the female and Black-owned Yawdis from Scarborough.

“Our goal in launching the Ontario Made program is to bring both well-established and local brands to consumers through our partnership with Loblaws. The brand is equally invested in supporting local brands, especially during a time where supporting local is so crucial to the survival of these very worthy brands,” says Jordan Ender, VP-operations at Grey Jay Sales & Distribution.
