TAIPEI, Taiwan – Smart City Taiwan has reinvented the way of life and explored projects, as the government is expected to invest US$200 million in creating smart transportation technology. With 20 percent of its population represented by those aged 65 and above. Around 4.3 percent of the country’s aged population suffers from dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease, ONE-LiFE created the PingAmulet D+ card which is a positioning smart sensor card using IoT and Bluetooth technology.

In like manner, via the Constituency Development Program (CDP) the government of Saint Lucia received a generous donation of USD $612,000 from Taiwan, presented by His Excellency, ambassador Chen. “CDP projects are not only important for reinvigorating economic growth especially when facing this COVID pandemic but also one of the key measures to accelerate actions toward adaptation to climate change impacts and an important strategy to meet people’s needs. To incorporate local communities, businesses, civil society in a joint effort. Taiwan is proud to be part of that,” said ambassador Chen.

“ We thank president Ing-Wen, ambassador Chen, and the government of the Republic of China, Taiwan for their long-standing generosity,” said, prime minister Philip J Pierre, “these USD $612,000 will be used by community projects. It is also going to be used to clean up Saint Lucia.”

Taiwan continues to utilize smart education, teaching English language and Mandarin in addition to education initiatives to assure innovation advantage and expansion of the digital economy.

Smart City Taiwan ideas and innovation create opportunities for startups and networks, to provide a real-time solution.
